Epicycle

Epicycle is an hour-long show which transports the audience,
comfortably installed in their deckchairs,
into a Comic-book inspired circular universe. .
In a space made of two huge metallic circles, 13 and a half metres in diametre,
a population of aerial people go about their ways.
Carried along by electro acoustic music, eight acrobats busy themselves on the assortments of cogs, pullies and mechanisms of their enormous vessel, in order to set the machine in motion.
The cyclical movements of the whole mechanism pull the inhabitants of the circle into various situations where emergency rears it’s head, a fall enhances stress, flight becomes vital.
The musician, inside his animated sphere, punctuates the images with sounds of a saw,a guitar and other electro-acoustic vectors…
Flight, aerobatics, seen through the bias of varied aerial techniques, becomes a langage ; a ritual which allows each Cyclonaute to express their personal emotions, taking part as they are in this common destiny : The Epicycle
